- It was over 20 years ago that I began to be more interested in prophecy and began each week to buy a daily newspaper with the primary objective of comparing current news events with Gods word.
- I became astounded at the accuracy of the scriptures. Quite often headlines in the newspaper mirrored the very words in the Bible.
- An Example – Jerusalem.
- The Sunday Telegraph had this headline recently concerning Jerusalem
- The Bible talks of a world war centred on Jerusalem.
- It describes Jerusalem like this Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
- The Eternal Stumbling Block and A Burdensome Stone are not exactly the same words but the meaning is almost identical. And so there I was reading in my daily newspaper a headline written in the Bible 1000’s of years before.
- Truly the Bible is a book written for the days in which we live.
- And that is what I hope the Weekly World Watch will prove.
